Admissions

At The Meadow Primary School, we welcome new students to join our vibrant and inclusive community. With a Published Admission Number (PAN) of 40 for each year group and a current enrollment of 220 pupils, we are committed to providing a supportive and stimulating environment for all our students. Our admissions process is designed to be transparent and fair, ensuring every child has the opportunity to benefit from our high-quality education and enriching school experience.

If you are moving to the area or wish to transfer your child from a different primary school, please contact the school office to arrange a visit.  We are more than happy to arrange visits to our lovely school throughout the academic year.

Anglian Learning is the admission authority for the school.  This means that it is the Governing Body that sets and applies the admissions policy for the school.

Attendance

There are 190 teaching days in the academic year and the school term dates are agreed by Cambridgeshire and set for primary schools including The Meadow School. Term time holidays are not permitted unless there is an exceptional circumstance. All applications for a leave of absence should be made in writing. If a child already has attendance of less than 96%, the request will be refused.

Attendance is rated as excellent if it is 99% or 100%.

Attendance of less than 95% represents over 100 hours of lost learning time. The Meadow has high ambitions for all pupils and aims for every child to have an attendance figure greater than 96%.

Unless a child is genuinely unwell, they should attend school regularly.

We are keen to work with you and your child if you need support to enable this.
